So 2 months ago we decided to put Jack's toddler bed together and see how he would do. Well he tanked, so we were just going to leave the bed up and give him some time. Two weekends ago we were over at the Ortowski's house helping them get things organized and get Me Me moved into her own room and into her big girl bed. Jack played on her bed and really liked it. I decided that Sunday morning I would get his mattress out of his crib and just put it on the big boy bed and see how he would do. I was super surprised, he napped there Sunday and even went to bed well that night. Jimmy and I left his door closed so he couldnt wonder the house just in case he decided to get up. We thought ok we better have the crib close just in case this ends in disater. Well I happy to report just over one week later and he is still sleeping in his bed like a champ and actually enjoying the independence. I'm sad but also loving that my sweet baby is growing up. He is also starting to show interest in the potty, maybe we will have a potty trained Jack by the end of the year, LOL I can wish can't I.
Two weekends ago we also planned our container garden we had talked about doing since early winter time. Trenton is really into seeing this grow and learning about the earth so we decided this was a good next step and with the price of fresh veggies we thought we could at least try to get some goodness out of it. So we got up early Saturday a week ago and went to Wal-Mart for Organic Garden Soil, Cucumber Seeds, Cilantro Seeds, Sweet Basil Seeds, Garlic Bulbs, and Onion Bulbs. We then went to Lowe's for Pots, Tomato Plants, Bell Pepper Plants, and Japaleno plants. We went home and planted everything while Jackson took his nap. I will get a picture soon so everyone can see. We have onions, garlic, cucumbers, cilantro and bell peppers all sprouting so far. I'm hopefully that this will end well. LOL
A lot of big news has been happening around me lately. My best friend is prego, super excited, she is finally getting a boy. Hooray Baby Nathan. My good friend is getting divorced, :-(, happy that she is finally becoming happy again though. An old friend is prego also, kind of a shock but she is excited so I'm trying to be supportive and helpful. We are actually giving her Jack's crib. We signed Trenton up for Kindergarten this past week, I can't believe he will be in Kindergarten. I want to cry. Man he is all sass lately also, you would think he was the parent and I was the kid. LOL Jack will be starting Early Preshool at Primrose in June, I'm so excited he gets this experience at this school. We are super stoked that he will have the same Teacher that Trenton did, she is awesome.
As for me, I HAVE HAIR GROWING. LOL I want to shout it from the roof tops but I'm afraid of heights LOL. It is just peach fuzz stubble but I will take that. I stopped taking my BC 6 weeks ago not because we are trying for another Schaefer but because we think this might help with my mood and hair growth. So far the mood has gotten a little better and the hair growth is definitely incouraging. We will see. I will also update a picture of this soon too. Not much to see yet but it would be nice to track it.
