Our Day in Indiana

We got up early to eat breakfast and hit the road for our second stop and our first day trip of this road trip. We got on the road at 7:30 central but quickly realized the time zone change after getting just north of Bowling Green, whoops. Lol.

After 2 quick stops for potty breaks and a quick snack ( evidently I forgot to pack beff jerky for our 192 mile drive, my bad. Lol), we made it to Columbus just before lunch was ready. It was funny walking into their house. Like walking into a time whorp, nothing has changed in 14+ years.

Mom and Grandma made a Turkey Dinner with all the fixins. I made 2 pudding pies with Stawberries. Food was great as always.

After lunch we walked to Donner Park and let the boys play. Got some great pics on my camera, can't wait to upload them. We hung out and talked for a long time. Ate pie, went through sewing patterns in the basement, played outside, took family photos, and enjoyed each others company.

Can't believe it was the first time in 7 years we have seen them. Great trip, the drive back to BG not so much. We went through a hail storm and just sent through another strong thunderstorm. We are 38 miles away now.

Tomorrow, is a surprise trip to an amazing place the boys will love love love. Can't wait to share our trip details. So freakin excited.

Lazy Saturday in Bowling Green

We slept in until 8:30, yes even the boys, which was much needed after our long drive Friday. We hung around Nannie and Papaw's house waiting for Jimmy to do something for work. We played baseball in the yard, we made breakfast and lunch, we watched tv, the boys napped, and Nannie and Papaw finally got home from work. We took them to Chuy's for Nannie's Birthday which was June 21st. Food was ok, service was horrible, made me miss our Denton Chuy's for sure. Oh well. When back home and Jimmy hung a fan with his Dad, then we all went to bed.

Sorry no photos on my phone.

And we made it

We finally rolled into Bowling Green around 4:40pm, the last 2 hours seemed to drag on forever. LOL. The boys were great and never argued or got an attitude, great for Mommy since Daddy drove the whole way.

Oh well here are a few more photos.

The Drive

Well we pulled out of our driveway at 4 am, stopped to top off the gas tank and got on the road. We are making awesome time so far. Little Rock was good to us and we drove through with no traffic.

Heading to Memphis now. Lock up your wife, lock up your kids, lock up your husband. Lol

2 Days

2 more days that seem to just drag on until a 10 day whirlwind of a road trip to experience. We haven't gone on an actual vacation since Trenton was 10 months old so to say I'm slightly excited and that this is overdue is an understatement.

I will update as often as I can more for my memory and anything else. I don't want to forget a moment of this trip.

For now I will leave you with a photo of my sweet boys.

AU

I know I might seem to most as ok with my Alopecia Areata Universalis but inside I'm really struggling with it. I know god has a plan for everyone and he gave me this for a reason, but sometimes it is hard for me to see and understand those reasons.
Yes I have an amazing wig and can style it and do things with it, but it makes me feel fake. I feel like I look ridiculous to other people. I just wished people could get over seeing a bald lady out in public that doesn't have Cancer.
I guess I'm just in an all around depressed mood lately. I just want to runaway, cry, and block out the idiots of this world.
Sorry for the not so up lifting entry, but this is my life right now.

The day I never wanted to come

6 months ago we learned that my father in law had gotten a job working as a district manager for Dollar General in Bowling Green Kentucky. He moved almost immediately to begin working. This was the first blow we weren't quite ready for. And today was the second blow. Today we had to say goodbye to my father in law and my mother in law. The moving truck packed them up over the weekend. My mother in law got a job at Vanderbilt in Nashville and she starts at the end of the month so it was time to pack the house and move. Nothing could have prepared us for this move, Jimmy has never lived more than 20 miles from his mom and I have never had any family in my life move away. So it say this was hard is a big understatement today. Trenton was sad and didn't want to talk about it at all this morning. Well if you know Jack, you would have just thought today was a super fun Monday since Nannie and Papaw were staying with us. That kid was oblivious today, it will set it when he doesn't see Nannie's car or can't see her on the weekends. This will be a huge adjustment for everyone.

But come June 29th we will hit the road and drive as fast as we can to see them again.
